BEFORE YOU CALL
Get a better quote on the first call.
- Bring approximate room measurements and material preferences.
- Describe moisture concerns and the existing floor.
- Ask about removal, subfloor preparation, transitions and furniture moving.
What belongs in a flooring installation estimate?
Ask them to separate materials from labor and include tear-out, haul-away, subfloor prep, trim and transitions. And ask what happens to the price if they find a problem once the old floor comes up.
