Where listing information comes from
Profiles combine business-submitted information, official company websites and published listings. Research panels identify source links, the type of source and when it was checked. A source-check date records research; it is not proof of a current license, insurance, operating status or service availability.
When sources conflict or a business's status needs review, the profile displays a notice. Contact the business to confirm current details before arranging work. An unresearched listing should not be read as independently verified.
Location and service coverage
A listed community is the directory location associated with a profile. It does not establish a service radius. Pages without a local listing may show businesses in nearby communities and identify them as nearby options. Confirm your full address and the exact work required when you call.
Free listings and sponsored placement
A Basic listing is free. Featured and Gold Sponsor placements are paid and labeled. Paid placements are displayed before free listings; order within placement groups can vary. Payment affects visibility and is not an endorsement or credential verification.
Corrections, ownership claims and removals
To request an update or removal, use the contact page. Include the profile URL, your relationship to the business, the information that needs attention and a supporting public source when available. Do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents through the general contact form.
Check the individual source dates instead of assuming every profile was reviewed recently. For article corrections and authorship information, see our editorial policy.
